Our Stories

MAQRÉ wasn't born as a brand idea; it grew up in a warm home. A home where fabrics were folded, patterns were laid out on the table, and the sewing machine never stopped. Our father had the fabrics, our mother had the sewing room, and we had our hands and our dreams. In that home, production wasn't a job, it was an everyday occurrence. The fabrics spoke, the scissors guided, and the hands intuitively knew what was right. The smell of warm cake mingled with the sound of the sewing machine.
As we grew, silhouettes took shape along with us. As children, we dressed our dolls. Then İrem started dressing Sinem. Her body was the first manifestation of an imagined form. We didn't call it fashion yet; we were simply searching for what was right. Years later, this intuition met with knowledge. Years spent at the heart of production taught us the limits of fabric, the patience of sewing, and how a piece truly comes into being.
MAQRÉ was founded this way: from the shared memory of two sisters. One built the structure, the other carried the vision. One managed the system, the other sketched the silhouette. Today, MAQRÉ reinterprets a rich textile heritage with a quiet yet powerful aesthetic. Every label we use, every stitch, every monogram carries a trace of the past. MAQRÉ doesn't just tell the story of trends; it reminds us of a stance.
She left the house. But she never stopped belonging to it.
